fantastic walking distance to shops, parks, and historic sites
The walkability of this place was amazing, as we could easily stroll to the Elms, just a short 500 meters away, and enjoy a lovely picnic at Fort Adams State Park, which was less than a 5-minute walk. plus, the manager offered great suggestions for local dining and attractions that made our stay even more enjoyable.

Outstanding location for attractions, Unique and charming historic inn, High-quality, made-to-order breakfast
Some amenities felt dated!!! The bathrooms are cramped!!! Would have loved more modern conveniences, as the kitchen equipment seriously needs an upgrade!!! Poor soundproofing made for an awkward experience during the night!!!

Great experience for couples
We stayed in the Estella Suite which was spacious and comfortable, the bed was excellent. And the breakfasts were made to order, really delicious and served promptly. The owner welcomed us with chocolate chip cookies and wine upon our arrival.
It wasn’t inexpensive,, but for the experience, it was still acceptable.

This was just a proper fit for a short interlude in Newport with high value for money. The bed in our room was exceedingly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. Be mindful that breakfast is on the third floor, so prepare for stairs if you have mobility issues.

Exceptional hospitality and comfort
I recently enjoyed a delightful two-night stay in a spacious room. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, including accommodating dietary restrictions and providing local tips. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring high-quality, locally sourced ingredients while we enjoyed a lovely view. The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions. The only downside was the narrow staircase, which might be a challenge for some guests.

My stay at this charming b&b far exceeded my expectations compared to previous visits in newport. The fine harbor views from the breakfast room added a magical touch to my mornings. Taking leisurely strolls to local attractions was easy, thanks to its perfect location just minutes away from the elms and cliff walk.

The Havisham Suite features a cozy jacuzzi tub and a fireplace, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The location allows easy access to local shops and restaurants. Breakfast served in the upstairs nook offers great views, enhancing the overall experience.
The decor in the Havisham Suite feels modernized in an odd way, detracting from its historic charm. Lacking bathrobes for a suite with a jacuzzi tub is a surprising oversight. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with no service on our second day until late afternoon, and a puzzling lack of basic amenities like extra toilet paper caused a bit of inconvenience. Breakfast had limited options, pushing us to seek meals elsewhere after the first day.

I had a relaxing time enjoying breakfast with fresh muffins and eggs while savoring the view of the harbor. It was nice having that peaceful atmosphere in the morning. The location was convenient to explore the nearby mansions, especially the Elms, just a short walk away. The staff created a welcoming vibe, making it feel like home. I appreciate this kind of experience as a single traveler who values a meaningful connection to history.
Some areas felt dated, and the furnishings could use an update. I noticed that the bathroom in my room was on the smaller side, which might not suit everyone's need for space.

A Quaint Stay with Room for Improvement
Check-in was a bit rough, with no one on staff, but once settled, I enjoyed the charming ambiance. The complimentary breakfast had delicious biscotti! Just be prepared for the lack of individual room thermostats, and consider the noise levels if you're near busy areas.
